LABORATELIER's new performance project “Departure” is promising to bring yet another engaging performance to anyone with an interest in social engagement and multiculturalism. Picture courtesy: Sara Pacheco The scenographer and maker of this project, Yiling Hung (PhD candidate), says about this project: “Departure” is a participatory performance project. Through this work, we want to touch upon the experience of leaving home. Storytellers will share from their experience why they came to the Netherlands, how they prepared themselves to get here, and how they felt about leaving home. A ‘participatory performance’ creates a space for dialogue or simple interaction between the storytellers and audiences. The performance will be held on November 30th and will be held in English. There is space for approximately 30 participants. The performance is held twice, from 14:00 to 15:30 and from 16:00 to 17:30. Entrance is free yet sign-up is required.
